Abstract Submissions Continue for RSNA 2025
Abstract submissions are open for RSNA 2025. A variety of presentation types provide meeting attendees with wide-ranging opportunities to learn. Abstracts are welcomed in the following formats: scientific presentation, education exhibit and quality improvement report.
RSNA recognizes top presentations with the following awards.

Travel awards are also available. Abstracts may be submitted online by May 7, noon CT.
RSNA Signs Letter to Protect Research Funding
RSNA joined more than 600 biomedical and health research stakeholder organizations in urging congressional leadership to provide robust funding for the NIH and to preserve protections against harmful research policy changes. RSNA continues to work with our policy and advocacy partners, including Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), American College of Radiology (ACR) and Research America Alliance, to address the issues that impact health care. RSNA & the Academy Co-Sponsor Research Roundtable
In March, RSNA partnered with the Academy for Radiology & Biomedical Imaging (the Academy) to co-sponsor the 2025 Academy Medical Imaging Research Roundtable Discussion and Medical Technology Showcase at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. RSNA board member Pari Pandharipande, M.D. participated as a discussion leader for the event.
The Research Roundtable convenes academia, industry and government agencies to foster collaboration and identify research gaps and priorities. The goal is to create a deeper understanding of mutual worlds and how academia, industry, and government agencies can collaborate more effectively together, beyond commercial transactions, and be more impactful for the betterment of the radiological research community.
RSNA Offers Grant Writing Skills Course
Applications are now being accepted for the Advanced Course in Grant Writing (AGW), a course designed to help participants prepare and submit a National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation or equivalent grant application. Accepted participants are responsible for travel expenses for each in-person session. Hotel accommodations will be provided by RSNA. There are no course fees. AGW, held at RSNA headquarters in Oak Brook, IL, will consist of four 1½-day sessions:
- Session I – Sept. 11-12 (in person)
- Session II – Nov. 6-7 (virtual)
- Session III – Feb. 5-6, 2026 (virtual)
- Session IV – Apr. 2-3, 2026 (in person)
Clinical Trials Methodology Workshop
Attendees will develop protocols for the clinical evaluation of imaging modalities during the six-day Clinical Trials Methodology Workshop to be held January 10-16, 2026, at the Wyndham Grand Jupiter, Harbourside Place, in Jupiter, Florida. Each attendee will be expected to develop a protocol for a clinical study, ready to include in an application for external funding.
Participants will be selected through a competitive application process. Successful applicants will participate in advance preparation, didactic sessions, one-on-one mentoring, small-group discussions, self-study and individual protocol development. There are no workshop fees. Participants are responsible for all travel expenses and hotel accommodations. Application deadline is July 15, 2025.

QIBA Profile Library Open to All
Medical imaging professionals can ensure greater precision and reliability in their work with profiles available in a library developed by members of the Quantitative Imaging Biomarkers Alliance (QIBA). The profile library is a repository for quantitative imaging protocols for CT, MRI, ultrasound and nuclear medicine, written and vetted by members of the radiology community. Medical Imaging Resource for AI
The RSNA Medical Imaging Resource for AI (MIRA) data repository provides annotated medical imaging data sets to support AI-focused research. MIRA's datasets were assembled for RSNA's ongoing series of AI challenge competitions and are made available at no cost for non-commercial research. Data sets published on MIRA include:

- RSNA Pulmonary Embolism Detection (RSNA-PED)

Registration Opens for Istanbul Spotlight Course
Registration is open for "Expert Insights on Emergency and Abdominopelvic Imaging," an RSNA Spotlight Course, to be held June 28-29, 2025, in Istanbul, Türkiye. The two-day course, supported by a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), aims to help participants improve diagnostic speed and accuracy. Attendees will learn about current concepts and common pitfalls in image interpretation of abdominopelvic pathology and common applications of MRI in the emergency department.
